Born in 1966, Niels de Groot is an artist who primarily focusses on the painting of landscapes and interiors. Upon receiving his education in Brussels from the “Rijks Hogeschool voor de Kunsten,” de Groot worked as a decorator for the film and television industry. Presently, de Groot can often be found painting in his private art studio in Weesp. With a focus on realism and impressionism, his art shines by the detail in color and contrasts, especially in landscapes. His creativity is inspired by the way colors change in relation to the surrounding landscape or interior. De Groot says the constant changes inspire and motivate him to forever express himself through his paintings.
